On 15/02/2019 and 16/02/2019 , Ashok Leyland people provided knowledge on Vehicle display to our club students and diploma students from various polytechnic colleges. They displayed various videos onlatest trends in automobile engines to reduce the air pollution and also a BS-IV engine, to make a ealistic view of the content learned.

1. The Code Club conducted an Intra department coding contest on 01.07.2019 in Python programming for II years and C programming for III years. Around 320 students were participated and utilized this opportunity to exhibit their knowledge. 3.The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted 6 days training programmme (5th Batch) from 04.11.2019 to 9.11.2019 for volunteers of our college through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) of Chennai District to help them to become a trained first responder and helping hand to government agencies during a disaster. The training was conducted by NDRF’s  fourth battalion at Arakkonam. NDRF officers made the youths understand about basic rescue techniques which can be used during natural calamities like cyclone, flood and fire incidents.

The 41 volunteers (29 from our college and 12 from other colleges) of Chennai district also got the training about how to use medical first aid during an emergency. In the training programme, the volunteers sensitized about basic concepts of disaster management, search and rescue, patient assessment, fire safety, water emergencies, snake bite and animal bite, group exercise and many other things related to relief and rescue operations.

From 01.10.2018 to 07.10.2018, Eco and Swacch Bharat club and anagement organized tree plantation programme inside the college campus. The total number of saplings planted in the campus is around 2000 and green audit report was prepared. Based on the audit report nearly 600 variety of trees were identified and labeled by their common and botanical names.During this programme the importance of various trees and their medicinal values were explained to the students to create awareness and to make a pleasant environment in the campus.

have *won the 2nd runner up prize with a cash award of ₹10,000* in the *Brakes India Hackathon 2020* conducted on Feb 7, 2020. The event was conducted by Brakes India Private Limited, Chennai.

They made it to the top 3 after clearing the first round in which 63 teams all over Tamil Nadu had participated. The finals had 14 teams from top colleges all over the state.

Their solution for Machine Vision System for Anodized Aluminum Cylinders will be further worked upon and implemented by a Industry – Institute collaboration with Brakes India Private Limited, Chennai.


An orientation programme on Japanese language was organised for students Aspiring to study foreign language from II, III and Final year on 16/09/2019. Mr. Karunanidhi Kasinathan, Founder and Chairman at KC Consulting Services explains about the Japanese language, manpower needs for Japanese Companies and Indian Companies in INDIA and JAPAN.
