Activity 1 : DISASTER MANAGEMENT & FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS TRAINING PROGRAMME

Introduction
The NSS unit of Sri Sairam Engineering College, conducted a disaster management and awareness event conducted by Sri “Satya Sai Seva Mandir”. The volunteers discussed various calamities (Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, landslides, cyclones) which cause great damage, destruction and loss.

Activity 2: OPEN DAY EVENT

Introduction
Open day Event was conducted on 23rd February 2023, in which the NSS unit of Sri Sairam Engineering College gathered more than 110 government school students and facilitated their laboratory works since they don’t have the lab facility in their school.

Activity 3 : PIX ‘A’ DIZE EVENT

Introduction
This online programme aims to foster young people’s creativity and point them in the direction of a bright future. Our volunteers’ main duty is to assist the students in learning Photoshop, which enables them to take on fascinating professions and broadens their role to creative endeavors.

Activity 4 : JUSTICE LEAGUE

Introduction
Social Justice day is celebrated on 20th february. The main goal of celebrating social justice day is to raise the voice against social injustice and to bring various communities together. The greatest awareness event “JUSTICE LEAGUE” was organized by NSS Units of Sri Sairam Engineering College.

The Social Justice Awareness Program organized by our volunteers and the winners got the cash prize.

Activity 5 : HAYAGRIVA TEMPLE EVENT

Introduction
NSS unit of Sairam Engineering college volunteered in the “HAYAGRIVA TEMPLE EVENT” for school students distributing calendar, stationery and other items for the needs of the students.

Our NSS volunteers participated in the Hayagriva event and distributed stationeries for the students and calendars.

Activity 6 : S2T EVENT

NSS unit of Sairam Engineering college volunteered in the “S2T EVENT” for school students on tips to achieve their dreams on 09/02/2023 with the help of 120 volunteers.

Activity 7 : DISASTER AWARENESS TRAINING PROGRAM

The ALERT (Amenity Lifeline Emergency Response Team) (NGO) has organized the Disaster awareness training program for students of NSS,NCC,YRC, Disaster Management & Safety Club of Sri Sairam Engineering College and Sri Sairam Institute of Technology.

Activity 8 : JEE AWARENESS BOOT CAMP

Introduction
In this event we have helped the students to know about the JEE examination. Our Sairam NSS Volunteers are giving awareness about the JEE examination to the Somangalam government school students.

Activity 9 : 7TH INDIA DEAF EXPO 2023

Introduction
At Sri Sairam Engineering College, the 7th India Deaf Expo and the 8th India International Film Festival all were conducted. Our NSS volunteers participated in this event and provided compassionate assistance to those who were physically challenged.

Activity 10 : TEACHING ANDROID MOBILES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS SESSION – 2

Introduction
This event was conducted by the NSS Unit of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College. In this event two volunteers were selected and went to the senior citizen’s house and taught them all the things in the android mobile.

Activity 11 : ORIENTATION PROGRAM

This event was conducted by the NSS Unit of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College. The orientation program for the newly joined nss volunteers with our alumni guest Kaviselvan M V.

Activity 12 : MOBILE LIBRARY SERVICE

This event was conducted for inculcating the reading habits for the students of government school and facilitating them with the books.Volunteers have created awareness about the importance of reading books and explained the contents of each book to the students at Government High School, Nallur.

Activity 13 : BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Introduction
Our students of “SRI SAIRAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE” voluntarily donated blood in the blood donation camp thereby awakening their social responsibility of donating blood. They were provided government approved certificates and gifts given by the sponsor HDFC along with refreshments after donating blood.

Activity 14 : MINDWARE PLUS

Introduction
On November 30 2022,the Sairam NSS unit hosted an awareness session called “Mindware Plus”.With the presence of Mr.R.Sathish Raj,a skilled speaker,CEO of E- Crusaders the session carried on. The purpose of this event is to create awareness among the people about the importance of mental health.

Activity 15 : ULLAS SUMMIT PROGRAM

The NSS Unit of Sri Sairam Engineering College has collaborated with Ullas trust to conduct an event called “Ullas Summit Program” for 9th standard students of Sri Sairam Matriculation Higher Secondary school. This event was conducted to know about their skill sets. Our Volunteers taught the students to improve their memory technique and vocabulary.

Activity 16 : LMES EVENT

Introduction
This LMES programme aims to inspire creativity in school pupils and direct them toward an enlightened future. Our volunteers’ primary responsibility is to control the crowd and provide appropriate assistance. The youthful volunteers show the participants how to properly park their cars. At the LMES event, our Sairam NSS team offered its services.

Activity 17 : UNITY DAY EVENT

Introduction
Sairam nss unit conducted an exhibition describing the contribution of Patel to Indian history. Students took a unity pledge for the upliftment of unity among the people in the society.We also had an unity run to spread the importance of unity among the people.

Activity 18 : MOCK PARLIAMENT EVENT

Introduction
In the mock parliament event, The participants who represented each state of the nation debated the issues of child abuse, education, and corruption. The primary goal of this celebration is to advocate for social or political change or to celebrate the work of programmes that promote community service.

Activity 19 : YOUTH AWAKENING DAY

Introduction
World Student’s Day is celebrated on 15th October because the date marks the birthday of India’s former president, late Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. On an occasion of 90th birthday of Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam ̧ “Youth Awakening Day” had been organized by the NSS unit of Sri Sairam Engineering College. Youth Awakening Day Event consists of Rally, Tree plantation and essay writing.

Activity 20 : MOBILE LIBRARY SERVICE – 2022

Volunteers have created awareness about the importance of reading books and explained the contents of each book to the students at Government High School, Nallur . The main cause of the “MOBILE LIBRARY – 2022” is to create awareness and inculcate interest for reading books in students.

Activity 21 : ALERTATHON – 2022

Introduction
Walking, Running, and cycling are the most common and best physical and mental exercises. In order to create awareness about “SAVE LIFE”, our NSS students have attended and enjoyed the ALTERTATION -2022 8th edition. This event comprises WALK / RUN / CYCLING for 5k and 10k run/ walk, 25k and 50k ride. Volunteers.

Activity 24 : GRITX 5.0

Introduction
GRITX 5.0 with Numerous Events to Kindle the Minds of Youngsters is conducted as a part of a NSS Day Celebration 2022 by Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai. GRITX 5.0 has both Technical and Non-Technical Events. All the events are conducted in Hybrid Mode.

Activity 25 : COASTAL CLEANING EVENT

Introduction
In the coastal cleaning event, the NSS volunteers worked with a lot of people under the guidance of URBASER SUMEET organization and cleaned the Marina beach in Chennai. The main motto of this event is to clean the coastal area and to create an awareness among the people to maintain the coastal areas clean.

Activity 26 : CARB-O-CIDE

Introduction
To create awareness about this carbon footprint emission to the public we have conducted a campaign in our college and described this. Also we have shared a G-form to the people which will ask for the number of unwanted mails they have deleted on the day. By this we have calculated the carbon footprint emission controlled by our team , and made some good changes to the environment. We have deleted 52965 mails and reduced 15889.5 CO2 emission.

Our NSS volunteers conducted a CARB-O-CIDE event to create awareness about carbon footprint emission.

Activity 27 : CYCLE RALLY

Introduction
On this auspicious 75th Independence Day, The NSS unit of our college conducted a cycle rally on 15th August 2022 from Sri Sairam Engineering College to Somangalam. The rally started at 10 am and ended at 11am. Cycles, flags and morning breakfast were provided to all the participants of the rally. The college students took part actively in the rally as a measure of showing their patriotism towards the nation.

Introduction
Independence Day plays an important role in all our lives to sense the feel of liberty, pride and also the strongest name, Indian. Liberty Fest is the event celebrating our 75th Independence Day on 15.08.2022. Liberty Fest is all about bringing out the patriotism within the youngsters of INDIA.

Sairam nss unit conducted an event “Mass cleaning campaign” on 26th jun 2022. Cleaning our college surrounding to make a step forward for the clean India campaign

Activity 30 : CYCLE RALLY

Introduction
Cycling is the best exercise to maintain physical and mental fitness. On account of “World Bicycle Day”, our young NSS students attended and enjoyed a bicycle rally at seashore temple, Mahabalipuram, which was conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. They cover a total rally distance of 7.5 km by cycling.

Activity 31 : PIXMATIC

Introduction
The workshop conducted by NSS on photoshop and poster designing was indeed a clear insight to many budding editors and designers. Adobe Photoshop is the predominant photo editing and manipulation software on the market. Its uses range from the full-featured editing of large batches of photos to creating intricate digital paintings and drawings that mimic those done by hand.

Activity 33 : CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS PROGRAM

Cybersecurity awareness involves being mindful of cybersecurity in day-to-day situations. Being aware of the dangers of browsing the web, checking email and interacting online are all components of cybersecurity awareness. Our NSS team collaborated with the IT Department and planned to raise awareness about cybersecurity.

Activity 34 : COUNTDOWN PROGRAMME FOR 8TH INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA

Introduction
The trainer for this huge event was Mr.N.Balaji,AP/ICE – Ministry of AYUSH certified yoga protocol instructor.He started the event by taking warm up exercises.All the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously.

Activity 35 : MAY DAY EVENT

Introduction
It was a great kick start of our event. The Workers of our College have participated in this game and top 3 teams who have found all the treasures are selected. Firstly, the Tug of War game has been conducted for the Male workers. They have been divided into teams and one team is selected as the winner.As well as for the Female Workers one team is selected as the winner.
