Day 1:

On 24th April, the English Literary Club in collaboration with the Math Club inaugurated the Matho-Lingua summer camp for government school students. The afternoon session was led by our beloved ma'am from the English department, who spoke about Universal Human Values. Her session was both inspiring and informative, capturing the attention of the enthusiastic students

Day 2:

The second day of the English Literary Club featured an insightful session on sentence formation conducted by Anuradha mam. She guided the students in understanding how to construct clear and meaningful sentences. Following the session, a quiz was conducted to encourage their active participation

Day 3:

The third day of the English Literary Club focused on enhancing students’ writing skills. We conducted a session on how to write a formal letter, explaining the format and key points to remember. After the session, the students were asked to write a formal letter on their own.

Day 4:

The fourth day of the English Literary Club began with an interactive session where we taught school students about nouns and adjectives. After the teaching session, we conducted a fun and engaging quiz to help reinforce their understanding.

Overview:

The "Block and Tackle" event was held on September 23, 2024, in Smart Classroom I. Thirteen participants took part in this dynamic and thought-provoking debate competition, which was judged by D. Beena Devi from Sairam Institute of Technology. The event provided an engaging platform for participants to exhibit their critical thinking, quick reasoning, and adaptability to opposing perspectives.

The "Block and Tackle" event was a successful blend of intellectual challenge and fun. It encouraged participants to explore different perspectives on important topics while improving their oratory and debate skills. The unique format ensured a high level of engagement, both from participants and the audience, making it a memorable event for all involved.

On 24th April the English Literary Club along with the Math club kicked off the Matho-Lingua summer camp for government school students. The afternoon session was initiated by our beloved HOD of English department Dr. Shanmugathai ma'am who spoke about Universal Human Values which were of great importance to the enthusiastic kids, they actively participated in the session and enjoy the mini games hosted by the volunteers Saveetha, Harshni, Nirmal, Raghav, Subramanyam, Divya Ravikumar.

The event started strong with the mutual cooperation of the students and the organizers. The second day of the English Literary Club kicked off  with the awareness of the importance of reading day  conducted by Ministanley mam.  She engaged and made the students understand the essence of reading and we organized the events to promote the reading among the students. Thanks to all the staff members who supported us to make this a successful day.

Day 3:

On the third day of the English Literary Club,  organized my Ms Maya and Ms Anuradha mam was  highly insightful to the students and we conducted fun-filled events that were also highly engaging. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staffs and volunteers who supported us in making this event even more enjoyable for the students.

Day 4:

The 4th successful Day of Matho-Lingua event on 29th April was remarkable. In the afternoon session the students were welcomed with the skilled and insightful lecture by Ms Maya  and Dr Lathavelavan who taught the students the fundamental grammar concepts which comprised tenses and sentence formation, these fundamentals were taught in great depth and clarity by the end of the session one could notice the significant improvement in their language skills. Along with the staff coordinator the student coordinators Saveetha, Asmitha, Divya Ravikumar and Harshni made sure the day was concluded seamlessly. As the days progressed to Day 1 to Day 4 the students were more polished in their usage of the language. The success was due to the creative event organization and active engagement of the students in every task without the slightest hesitation which was inspiring to all.

Day : 5

 On the fifth day of the English Literature Club, Dr. A Geetha mam and Ms Maya organized an interactive session with the students about their feedback for the summer camp which was positive and cherishing. We held our valedictory event along with the staff coordinator of both the English and Maths department. Students' active participation was appreciated by the staff with various awards. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this event a great success.
