VISION
We empower youth globally by fostering skills in mobile, web, and analytical application development—enabling them to create impactful solutions for society while gaining real-world experience and opportunities throughout their learning journey.
MISSION
- Inspire and equip students to design and develop creative mobile, web, and analytical applications that address real-world challenges.
- Provide advanced training and mentorship in application development, ensuring industry relevance and global competitiveness.
- Host workshops, hackathons, and competitions at inter-college and international levels to foster innovation and collaboration.
- Educate members on emerging trends in handheld devices, cloud solutions, and data-driven applications.
- Showcase and publish student innovations on institutional and global platforms, including the Google Play Store and other marketplaces.
OBJECTIVES
- Train at least 100 students annually in creative mobile, web, and analytical application development through structured workshops and mentorship programs.
- Organize a minimum of 4 hands-on workshops and 2 major hackathons/competitions each academic year, including at least 1 event with international participation.
- Publish 10+ student-developed applications annually on the college website, Google Play Store, or other global platforms.
- Engage with industry experts to conduct 6 or more guest lectures each year on emerging trends in handheld devices, cloud solutions, and data-driven applications.
- Facilitate collaborations with at least 3 international institutions or developer communities to provide students with cross-border exposure and opportunities
SPICES
M-APPS Club is a premier student innovation forum at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, proudly sponsored by SPICES (Scheme for Promoting Interests, Creativity, and Ethics among Students) for the year (2022-2023). The club serves as a vibrant platform for aspiring innovators to explore, design, and develop cutting-edge mobile, web, and analytical applications that address real-world challenges. Through workshops, mentorship, and collaborative projects, M-APPS Club nurtures creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills—empowering students to become future-ready professionals with a global perspective.

About the Event
DevSparks Hackathon 2025 was organized in association with DevSaprks, to provide an energetic and competitive platform for young innovators to showcase their rapid development skills. The theme of the event focused on mobile application development, challenging students to conceptualize, design, and build a functional mobile app within just 6 hours.
The hackathon aimed to ignite creativity, encourage problem-solving, and enhance students’ ability to work under time constraints—skills essential for today’s fast-paced tech industry.
Event Highlights
- 6-Hour Hack Challenge: Participants were tasked with developing a mobile application prototype from scratch.
- Real-Time Skill Showcase: The event created an environment for students to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity, and quick-thinking abilities.
- 61 Talented Participants: Students from II and III year enthusiastically took part, forming teams and collaborating to bring their ideas to life.
- Hands-on, Practical Learning: Students applied programming skills, UI/UX concepts, and mobile app frameworks in a time-bound setting.
The M-Apps Club, Sri Sairam Engineering College organized LaunchPad 2025 on 12th September 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 250 students, marking a significant milestone in fostering innovation and technical excellence among young minds.The event continued with the Introduction of the Magic Members, followed by the Magazine Release. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. Charles Godwin, HR Leader and Public Speaker from Zoho Corporation, who motivated students with his inspiring talk on professional growth and personal development.Dr. Sridevi Arunachalam, Founder of IIEC and Indo–UAE Economic Chamber of Commerce, delivered the Guest Address, emphasizing the global opportunities available for young innovators.The event also featured several key launches — the M-Apps Club Website, STEM Website, and UBA Website, along with the Vision Launch – Idea Winners announcement. This was followed by the Certificate Distribution Ceremony, recognizing the contributions and achieve organized LaunchPad 2025ments of participants.
The M Apps Club of Sri Sairam Engineering College, in collaboration with the Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation, successfully organized a Three-Day Workshop on Mobile Application Development using Flutter from 29 April to 1 May 2025.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with practical skills to design and develop dynamic, cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter, one of the most versatile frameworks in modern app development.
The M-APPS Workshop on Web & Mobile App Development was designed to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of app development. This intensive workshop spanned five days and was attended by a total of 56 participants.
M-Apps club, Sri Sairam Engineering College organized National level hackathon APPFRENZY 2.0 on 02.02.2023 and 03.02.2023 sponsored by AICTE SPICES, IEEE SPAx and Spudweb Technologies Pvt Ltd., . The hackathon received a massive response from various colleges in National Level. More than 120 students participated in the hackathon and developed mobile applications through 2 nd and 3 rd Feb 2023.
Huawei webinar for our students was conducted on 2-7-2021 by 3.00pm to 4.30pm. In this webinar they elaborated about Huawei app development platform, steps to join a free application development course for five weeks, creating developer ID in huawei app development platform and information about participating in global level contest.
The M-apps club conducted a training program on mobile app development for 3 days (15-03-2021 to 18-03-2021) called “Let’s Build IT 2021” for our college students.More than 80 students participated and benefited through this program. 30 teams, with 3 members in a team from first year and second year of various departments participated in the training program to learn Android Studio.The main aim of the event is to train the students to develop android applications with the help of seniors and experts from industries. Participants were guided thoroughly throughout the event.
The M-apps club conducted a one day workshop called ”SaiTech S2T”on 02/11/2019 at SAIRAM INSTITUTIONS for the school students all over Chennai. More than 100 students participated and benefited through this program. Many exciting events were conducted which made the students learn things practically. Participants were guided thoroughly throughout the event. The students took part in these hands-on events.
M-Apps club, Sri Sairam engineering college has conducted a workshop on mobile app development workshop on 28-02-2019. This resource person Mr.G.Bharath Sekar, a a full-stack developer at Asset pulse, taught on how to build a mobile app from scratch with an extensive practical session, the students acquired a clear insight as to what it is to develop an android application. Further industry side requirements and current trends were also discussed.
