MISSION

  • To analyse objective photography, Subjective photography and architectural photography.
  • To provide a supportive environment for interested photography students to share their creativity,knowledge and passion for photography.

 OBJECTIVES

  • Learning sessions by peers, guest lectures and workshops by experts.
  • Active participation in documenting events organised in the college campus .
  • Field trips to nearby locations to understand the art of a photo shoot, exhibitions showcasing the work of students, shows, contests to enable them to learn through feedback.

As part of SAI TECH S2T Edition 6.0, the Photography Club of Sri Sairam Engineering College successfully conducted the Photography Event under the theme “Peace and Community Engagement.” The event was organized to encourage school students to express social harmony, unity, and community responsibility through creative photography.
Several schools from different regions actively participated in the competition and submitted impactful photographs highlighting peaceful coexistence, social bonding, environmental care, and community development. The students showcased their perspectives through visually appealing and meaningful images.
The event received an enthusiastic response from participants and teachers. Students demonstrated creativity, technical skills, and strong awareness of social values. The judging panel evaluated the entries based on originality, relevance to the theme, composition, and visual impact.
The Photography Event played a significant role in promoting social responsibility and creative thinking among young minds. It also provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their artistic skills and confidence.
Overall, the program was conducted successfully and contributed greatly to the objectives of SAI TECH S2T Edition 6.0 by fostering peace, unity, and community engagement through photography.

On Dec 6th, 2025, at the YUCI Award Ceremony held at Raj Park Hotel, Chennai, our Photographic Club was honoured for our contributions and creative activities. Grateful for the recognition and thankful to everyone who supported us.

The Reels Competition was successfully conducted at Sri Sairam Engineering College during the Pongal Celebration 2026. Students from different departments actively participated and submitted creative reels based on the given theme. The competition received an overwhelming response, with high-quality entries reflecting the cultural values and festive spirit of Pongal.

The judging panel evaluated the reels based on creativity, originality, content relevance, and technical quality. Winners were awarded exciting prizes and certificates. The event not only enhanced students’ digital media skills but also strengthened cultural awareness and teamwork among participants.

Overall, the program was a grand success and created memorable experiences for everyone involved.

The Photography Club successfully organized a workshop on Photography and Video Editing with the aim of enhancing students’ creative and technical skills. The workshop provided valuable insights into both photography and videography through theory and hands-on practice.

The session began with an introduction to the fundamentals of photography, including camera types, lenses, the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed), and composition techniques. Participants learned how to capture visually appealing images using proper framing and lighting methods.

Practical sessions were conducted to help students understand shooting techniques, camera handling, and creative perspectives. The workshop also covered the basics of videography, focusing on camera movements, storytelling, and visual narration.

Students received hands-on training in video editing tools and workflows, where they learned how to edit videos efficiently. The resource person explained important aspects such as color correction, transitions, effects, and exporting videos for various platforms like social media and presentations.

The workshop included interactive discussions and live demonstrations, which helped participants clarify their doubts and gain real-time experience. The resource person shared valuable tips and industry practices that motivated students to explore photography and video editing professionally.
