The Rotaract Club of Sri Sairam Engineering College organized an insightful Health Awareness Session on 9th March 2026 at VRR Hall. The session was led by Dr. Priyadharshini (MBBS, MS (OBG), FMAS), a renowned expert in obstetrics, gynecology, and cosmetic laparoscopy.
The program focused on creating awareness about women’s health, preventive care, and the importance of early diagnosis. Through an engaging and informative session, students gained valuable knowledge on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and addressing common health concerns with confidence. The Rotaract Club of Sairam Institutions successfully organized an Election Awareness Program as part of a First-Time Voter Classroom Campaign on 10th and 12th April 2024. Centered around the theme “The Ballot is stronger than the Bullet,” the initiative aimed to educate and inspire young voters about the importance of participating in the democratic process.
The sessions highlighted the significance of voting, voter rights and responsibilities, and the impact of informed decision-making in shaping the nation’s future. Through interactive discussions and awareness activities, students were encouraged to actively take part in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The program served as a meaningful step towards empowering youth with civic responsibility and fostering a culture of informed and ethical voting.

Free Mega Eye Screening Camp :
The Rotaract Club of Sri Sairam Engineering College, in collaboration with the Sairam Transport Department and in association with Sankara Eye Hospital, Pammal, successfully organized a Free Mega Eye Screening Camp on 26th and 27th March 2024 at the college campus.
The camp aimed to promote eye health awareness and provide accessible vision care services specifically to Drivers of our college. Qualified medical professionals conducted comprehensive eye examinations, offering expert guidance on eye care and identifying vision-related issues. As per medical advice, free cataract surgeries were also facilitated for eligible beneficiaries. Graced by the presence of Dr. P. Vijayalakshmi, CAO of Sankara Group of Institutions and Medical College and Hospital, the initiative reflected a strong commitment to community welfare and preventive healthcare.
The event witnessed active participation and served as a meaningful step towards ensuring better vision and healthier lives.
“If you cut a tree, you kill a life .If you save a tree ,you save a life .If you plant a tree ,you plant a life”. On this slogan , Tree plantation Drive was conducted by Rotaract club of Sri Sairam Engineering college on 16.2.2022 on Thirumudivakkam Industrial estate . Dr.A.Rajendra Prasad, Principal of Sri Sairam Engineering College took an first initiative to plant saplings. The event was co-ordinated by Dr.N.Mani and …Plantations of trees are important as they improve the life and fulfil essential needs of mankind.Students of Sri Sairam Institutions have planted nearly 100 more than trees and also learnt the benefits of tree plantations.
