“We create the Opportunity and Make the Students Placed ”
Training and Placement (TAP) is an integral part of our institution. The institute has provided the complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.
Placement Scenario:
The Recruitment of fresh engineering graduates by all leading manufacturing sectors, IT service sectors has drastically changed and started focusing on “Industry 4.0”.
The campus hiring scenario and the process of selection is completely shifted towards industrial expectations in terms of skill sets.
There is a big gap between the industrial expectation and the present syllabus of all engineering disciplines.
All industries coming under manufacturing sector or software services sector, expect all fresh graduate engineers getting hired through campus interview should be available to them in a form of “Billable Resource” from the day one they join the organization without any investment of time and cost through training imparted to them.
Expectation of the recruiters and their new policy of recruitment in hiring fresher is purely based on the criteria of the student’s skill set capacity in terms of “Deployment” instead of “Employment”
Training Plan:
Training and Placement cell has developed a meticulous plan of training program to all the students to face the talent acquisition process successfully.
The visionary training program is planned in such a way to train the students of all disciplines in various technologies depending upon their area of interest.
We have planned to divide the students into “circuit” and “non-circuit” categories. A special training is designed for the circuit branch students i.e (CSE, IT, ECE, EEE,EIE,ICE) program to enhance coding skills in ‘C Java & Python’, and for the non-Circuit branch(MECH,CIVIL,PROD) students will be trained in Autocad,Catia,ProEto enhance their skills in core area.
AMCAT Test :
“AMCAT” assessment platform is used by all students to get practice in Six different areas like Writex(English), Logical, Quants, (Aptitude),Automata Fix(Debugging),Automata (Coding), SVAR(Speech Voice Adaptive Rating). A mock interview and a domain specific test is also conducted to evaluate the students readiness before the campus hiring assessment conducted by all recruiters.
We are confident that all these assessment in periodic interval of time will transform every students interview readiness for successful placement.
PEGA Training:
We have introduced a niche training program from this year 2019 in ‘PEGA’ a specialized financial tool being used by all multinational banks across the Globe.
We are proud of saying that we are one among the 12 training facility centre for ‘PEGA-USA’ across India to train the students to get certified in PEGA. The PEGA certified students are getting special employment opportunities with a high package of 16 lakhs and with a minimum package of 4.5 Lakhs from top leading software companies through an exclusive drive for PEGA professionals
PEGA information
- First batch ( 2020 passed out) – 90 students
- Second Batch ( 2021 passed out) – 110 Students
- Third Batch ( 2022 passing out) – 91 Students
- Fourth batch ( 2023 passing out) – 181 Students
- More than 20 to 25 companies regularly visiting only to recruit PEGA certified professionals
Training to achieve Students dream:-

2.GATE
3.UPSC
From coming academic year we are going to introduce the foreign language program also ,
4.GERMAN – 80 students Enrolled & JAPANESE -75 Students Enrolled
We are continuously exploring the trend in emerging technology, and industry needs and introduce new training programs for the students to make them Industry ready.
Center For Higher Studies
Centre for Higher Studies , the integral part of our Training and Placement Cell since its inception 2004, fosters a network among Universitites, Colleges, Institutions abroad committed to impart Higher Education and Collaborative Study programmes. The mission of the Centre for Higher Studies is to prepare and give exposure to students on persuing higher studies abroad.

AICTE-IIP Cell
About AICTE-IIP Cell.
The Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) is vibrant in Sri Sairam Engineering College, since inception 2011.The IIP Cell is sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Delhi. Graduates are the major source of strength in Nation building. Consequently, the success of any industry depends very much on the quality of the people who work for them. Graduates with good problem Solving, Decision making, Technical and Design skills are playing a pivotal role in different verticals of the Industry. At Sairam through IIP cell we are nurturing the budding engineers to face the real world by equipping them with career driven niche technology skills.IIP Cell of Sairam Synergize the academic activities of the Institutions in accordance with the industry needs and expectations.
The primary focus of IIPC is to invite industry experts from various core industries, relevant to our engineering streams. This platform helps to reduce the gap between Industries and Technical Education. Establishing the collaboration with industry will help us to make new laboratories in each of the Engineering branch. The specific industrial curriculum have introduced with the participants of Industry experts which will enhances the student knowledge to perform well in their core field and a chance to get exposed to current industry practices, challenges and needs. This Cell also provides opportunities for the students to do internships, Industrial Visits, Inplant training and live projects.
This cell provide opportunities to empowering the student and faculty members by understanding the work nature of industries and developing their skills to fulfil the industry requirements in recent technology. The IIP Cell is assisting the teaching community in the areas of technical consultancy, industry sponsored R&D projects and industrial trainings.
Objectives
- The main objectives of IIP Cell are
- To develop linkages between industry and institute.
- To identify industry problems and provide solutions
- To carry out Research and Development activities in collaboration with Industries
- To assist industrial training for students
- To arrange industry-oriented training for faculty members
- To find out the possibilities of Consultancy work to the specific needs of the Industries
- Knowledge Sharing sessions by Subject Matter Experts(SME) from the Industry
- To Identify the thrust area to explore the possibilities of MOU with industries for mutual benefit
Activities of IIP cell
- To support industrial training and identify technical project works in different Industries.
- To establish a network with Research and development department to carry out collaborative research, involving faculty members and industry experts
- Create centre of excellence by signing MOU’s with industry and Institutes.
- Guest lectures by eminent personalities, academics, leading industrialists at regular intervals to update the students’ knowledge
- Faculty exchanges – getting professionals from industry as visiting faculty or adjunct professors for short or long periods and deputation of faculty to industry to gain industrial experience and/or work on projects in industry.
