The government of India initiated the ‘Grand Finale’ of ‘Smart India Hackathon 2O17’, the world’s biggest digital product building competition hosted on April I & 2, 2017 simultaneously at 26 nodal centers across India. Students from across India will work Non-Stop for 36 hrs to build digital solutions which our nation can use. 263 teams under AICTE-Southern Region have been shortlisted to attend Grand Finale out of total 1268 teams at 26 nodal centers across India. 10 teams have been selected for the Grand finale from Sairam Institutions which is the highest number of participants in Tamilnadu.

6 teams from Sairam Engineering College and 3 teams from Sairam Institute of Technology and 1 team from Sairam College of Engineering are participating in various nodal centers such as Allahabad, Punjab, West Bengal, Bhopal, Nagpur, Karnataka and Chennai under different Ministries.
